Bessie Roussel Carnaggio

Bessie Roussel Carnaggio, age 95, was born on July 26, 1921 and passed away on February 13, 2017. She was a native of Paulina, LA and a resident of River Ridge, LA. She is survived by her sons: Lionel Carnaggio (Sandra) and Dr. Carl Carnaggio (Betty) as well as a sister, Lydia R. Millet. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Carnaggio; parents: Emile and Olivia Melancon Roussel; brothers: Hubert, Nelson, Paul, and Lee Roussel; sisters: Marion Levy, Inez Luquette, Marguerite Aucoin, and Lizette McCann. Bessie was a seamstress who enjoyed interior design. She was a wonderful Matriach of the family and was an inspiration and always set good examples for her children and grandchildren. She was employed as an airport manager for 20 years. A visitation in her honor was on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy, LA from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paulina, LA.
