Council Adopts Resolution Directing Parish President To Put Assistant District Attorney’s Pay In Revised Budget
Twenty-third Judicial District Judge Tommy Kliebert appeared before the St. James Parish Council last Wednesday and asked for their support in coming up with a solution concerning the lack of adequate juvenile detention centers in Louisiana.
Judge Kliebert spoke to the Council and said since the St. James Parish Juvenile Detention Center closed its doors that there are very few, and sometimes none, available centers to place juveniles that appear before him in court.
