A true man of God, Leslie G. "Jerry" Carter, passed away suddenly in his home on September 26, 2016 at the age of 63. He is survived by his one true love, Nanette B. Eythan Lackie (Kasie). Gramps created memories with his grandchildren that will last them a lifetime: Skylin J. Lackie, Olivia J. Lackie, Paisley R. Lackie, Emma R. Wilson and Lorelei D. Carter. Jerry is also survived by his parents, Jimmie and Pauline Carter and siblings: Paula Herman (Linn), Gene Carter (Cheryl), Carroll Carter (Sue), Joy Odem (Raymond), and Lea Baber (Glen). Jerry was a member of IBEW Local 995; Deacon of South Baton Rouge Church of Christ and led Prison Ministry for 35+ years. Jerry was one of the greatest men one could ever know.
