Joseph E. Samrow Jr.

Joseph E. Samrow Jr., 66, a native of Deridder, LA and resident of Gramercy, LA passed away June 30, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Geraldine “Deanie” Becnel Samrow; children, Brandon Samrow and wife Nikki, Brittany Landry and husband Kerry, Bentley Samrow and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Mallory, Brant, Stella, Laney, Colin, Isabel, Ellie and 2 more on the way; father, Joseph Samrow; brothers, George and Greg Samrow; sisters, Kathleen Deroche and Marie Fuselier. He is preceded in death by his mother, Thekla Meyer Samrow; grandson, Logan. He retired from Dupont after 40 years of service. For many years he served the Town of Gramercy first as a police officer and then as an Emergency Preparedness Director. He was always willing to help those in need. Visitation was on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Rose Lynn Funeral Services in Lutcher, LA from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Sacred Heart in Gramercy, LA from 9:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. with the mass following immediately after. Burial followed at Serenity Oaks Memorial Park in Prairieville, LA. Rose Lynn Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
