Celine Musgrove

Celine Musgrove, 104, passed away June 2, 2016. She was born in the St. Charles Community of Raceland, on November 18, 1911 to her parents, Louise and Ozemé Ledet. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank Musgrove; her brothers, Alcide and Raoul Ledet; and sisters, Annette L. Waguespack, Beatrice L. Pfeiffer, Louisiana L. Basset, Gladys L. Navarre and Florence L. Constant. She will be dearly missed by her devoted caretakers, Barbara Navarre Hebert (niece) and Sonya Hebert Roussel (great-niece) and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the staff of Chateau St. James and Hospice Compassus for their loving care. Celine taught elementary school in New Orleans for many years. She loved her students. She was a strong, independent woman and caregiver to her sister for many years. She loved working in her flower garden and celebrating holidays with her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Visitation was held Saturday, June 4, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gramercy, LA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial took place at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Metairie, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church “United by Faith” campaign are appreciated. Roselynn Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
