Hazel Marchand Schaubhut

Hazel Marchand Schaubhut, a lifelong resident of Lutcher, LA, born October 4, 1914 passed away, May 28, 2016. The wife of the late Murvin Schaubhut, she is survived by her children; Lawrence Schaubhut (Cynthia), and Darwin S. Martin, 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Wanda Luquette, and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her children; Gail Schaubhut, Wayne Schaubhut, and Carolyn S. Hartley. She is also preceded by her sons-in-law, Ross Martin, Bobby Gene Hartley and 7 brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank the staff of Chateau St. James for their loving care over the years. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 2208 Jefferson Hwy, Lutcher, LA 70071 on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., a rosary was said at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA at 11 a.m. Burial followed at St. Joseph Cemetery immediately after Mass.
