Dolores M. Melancon Didier (“Aunt Dee”)

Dolores M. Melancon Didier (“Aunt Dee”), age 91, joined her loving husband, Joseph T. Didier in Heaven on January 7, 2016. She is survived by her sister Gayle DeRoche (Sheffard “Butch”), sisters-in-law, Elsie Melancon and Marian Melancon and her special caregivers; Cynthia Deslattes, Cheryl Waguespack and Brian Waguespack. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and family members. She is preceded in death by her parents; Lawrence S. Melancon, Sr., and Agnes Luquette Melancon, and her siblings; Lawrence S. Melancon, Jr., Norma Lousteau (Onell, Sr.), Thelma Marse (Tommy, Sr.), and James A. Melancon, Sr. A long-time member and Sunshine Girl for the AARP. Her hobbies included reading and crafts, and praying to the Blessed Mother. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Gramercy, LA on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial took place at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina, LA.
