Frank “Spider” Calcagno

Frank “Spider” Calcagno, a native and resident of Gramercy, LA passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Southeast Louisiana War Veteran’s Home in Reserve, LA. He was 89 years old and born on June 6, 1926. He was a Navy Seabee and served in Okinawa in World War II. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nettie Lee St. Pierre Calcagno. His children: Belinda C. Rouillier and husband Nelson; Craig Calcagno and wife Mary; Keith Calcagno, and Jodie C. Simon and husband Gregg. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, twelve greatgrandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; his brothers Anthony Calcagno, and Steve Calcagno. He was preceded in death by his parents: Camille Guarneri Calcagno and Anthony Calcagno, Sr.; his brothers: Royal, Joseph, and Jake; his sisters: Frances Calcagno and Josephine C. Gondolfo. Visitation was held at Rose Lynn Funeral Home, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and continued at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015. A Mass of Christian burial followed at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gramercy, LA at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Ed Fuss, officianting. Military honors followed at the interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum in Paulina, LA. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of ROSE LYNN FUNERAL SERVICES in Lutcher, LA.
